Arsenal are on their way to Spain as they get set to take on Real Madrid in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.

The Gunners enter the tie with a huge advantage, having thrashed the reigning champions of Spain and Europe 3-0 at the Emirates in the first leg last week.

But, given Real Madrid’s penchant for pulling off comebacks in the Champions League, especially at the Bernabeu, Arsenal’s progression cannot be taken for granted yet.

Heading into the tie at the Bernabeu tomorrow, Arsenal were dealt with a couple of fitness setbacks.

Jorginho was ruled out due to an injury he sustained against Brentford this past weekend. On top of that, Thomas Partey was also stated as a doubt for the clash due to a physical problem.

But, now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Partey is travelling with the rest of the Arsenal squad to the Spanish capital.

The Ghanaian midfielder has seemingly recovered from his issue and trained with the rest of the squad, which means he could be in line to face Real Madrid on Wednesday at the Bernabeu.

Should he be passed fit to start, it will come as a big boost for the Premier League giants as Partey has been a key part of Mikel Arteta’s setup this season.

The former Atletico Madrid star has featured in 45 matches this season for Arsenal, even chipping in with four goals and three assists.

Partey will likely start alongside Arsenal’s first-leg hero Declan Rice in the middle of the park, while ex-Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard will line up as the attacking midfielder.

In case Partey is not deemed ready to start, Mikel Merino could move to his natural position in midfield, having filled in as a striker in recent weeks for Arsenal.
