Arsenal have reportedly made a move for Girona winger Viktor Tsyhankov.

Spanish media AS say the Gunners have approached the La Liga side over a move for Tsyhankov, who is said to have a £25.5m release clause.

The Ukrainian international scored 8 goals and assisted seven times in all competitions last season as Girona secured an unexpected third-place league finish.

But Arsenal reportedly face competition from both AC Milan and Tottenham for the 23-year-old.

Speaking about his future to AS recently, he said: “All players dream big, they want to play in big clubs, top leagues. I’m not unique in this.

“Since I was young I wanted to play at a high level and of course I like that there are important clubs in Europe looking out for me. I don’t really know what will happen. In football anything can happen.”

Meanwhile, the Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that Aston Villa have held initial talks over a move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

The 24-year-old has just a year remaining on his current contract with the Blues, who may need to sell him in order to ease their worries about complying with financial rules.

But Sky Sports say Chelsea want at least £50m for the midfielder, and that Atletico Madrid are also interested in signing him.

New Blues boss Enzo Maresca is, however, expected to secure his first signing at the club in defender Tosin, who has left Fulham after the expiration of his contract.

Sky Sports are also reporting that Manchester United are in talks over extending the deals of Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton, while youngster Omari Forson has also been offered a new contract.

And Bruno Fernandes is asking for his new contract to put him among Man Utd’s top earners, according to The Guardian.
