Premier League side Arsenal are set to approach Ajax to potentially land Jorrel Hato.

According to a report by Gianluigi Longari of Sport Italia, Arsenal will venture out to sign Jorrel Hato this summer despite the competition from fellow Premier League outfits and other European clubs.

The Gunners have been tracking the defender for months now, and the first update regarding the club’s interest in him arrived in January. However, Hato had to stay at Ajax during the winter transfer window since he had a high valuation.

The player is yet to convey his decision to the Eredivisie giants and Arsenal will hope that the 19-year-old’s interest aligns with their own.

The presence of Serie A clubs in the race for Hato is undisclosed, but it is set to be a tough race for any club that wants to land the youngster’s services.

Hato featured in 31 Dutch top-flight matches last season, scoring twice and assisting six times.
