Arsenal will reportedly finalise the signing of Brazilian youngster Gabriel Martinelli within the coming days.
That is according to a report reputable outlet GloboEsporte, who claim that the deal is all but done.
Martinelli celebrated his 18th birthday on Tuesday and is now on the brink of receiving the perfect present.
The report claims that he will put pen to paper on a five-year deal and the Gunners will pay Ituano £6m for the attacker.
Martinelli has been on the radar of several European clubs since the age of 12 and previously had trials with Manchester United and Barcelona.
He has also received official offers from clubs in England, Spain, Italy and France in recent years but Arsenal appear to have won the race.
While in Europe recently, Martinelli took advantage of his visit to apply for an Italian passport, which will aid his visa application.
The teenager came to prominence with Corinthians, who he played for until the age of 13, having scored 73 goals during his time there.
