The Real Madrid managerial post is rightly considered one of the most difficult jobs in the world and it seems Carlo Ancelotti is beginning to feel that.
Although the Italian manager will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest men to manage the Real Madrid dressing room and has seen unreal success in both his stints, recent results have put a big question mark over his future
Ancelotti won the UEFA Champions League and La Liga last year, but the team’s relatively lacklustre performances this season already have him on the brink of a sacking.
It is no secret that Real Madrid have seen Xabi Alonso as the ideal replacement for Ancelotti for a long time now, and the plan continues to take shape should the Italian leaves.
The final decision over Ancelotti’s future, however, is yet to be taken and has widely been speculated to depend on the team’s results across all competitions.

As relayed by Fabrizio Romano, the 0-3 hammering to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the first leeg did not win the manager any favours and his future completely hangs on tomorrow’s second leg.
The reliable Italian journalist relays that one week ago, there was a 50:50 chance of the coach staying or leaving but the situation could well change dramatically based on the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Tomorrow’s game may thus be the single biggest factor that decides the team’s manager next season and a failure to mount a comeback could imply a concrete possibility of a change on the sidelines.
The dressing room, needless to say, is fired up to overturn the deficit they suffered last week in London. With three goals to catch up, however, the task is far from done especially if they fail to keep a clean sheet.
