WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Gunners this morning.
Bouhaddi moves to North London on a free transfer after leaving former club Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season.
The 37-year-old has enjoyed a glittering career in which she has won 11 French Division 1 Féminine titles and eight UEFA Women’s Champions League titles. She has also lifted the Coupe de France Féminine on eight occasions.
On the international stage, Bouhaddi has been capped by France on 149 occasions while she was named The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper in 2020.
Bouhaddi is one of the most experienced goalkeepers in world football and she will be hoping to be a good support to Arsenal’s goalkeeping group in the coming weeks.
After joining The Gunners, Bouhaddi said “I’m delighted to be joining Arsenal and to become part of this great club. Arsenal has so much history across both the men’s and women’s teams and I’ve always admired the club.
“I’m excited to get the opportunity to play in a league that is going from strength-to-strength and I want to bring my experience to help the rest of the squad. I can’t wait to get started.”
Bouhaddi is Arsenal’s second signing of the January transfer window.
