Arsenal star Ben White has taken to social media platform Instagram to share an injury update after he was taken off against Wigan Athletic at Emirates Stadium earlier today.

The Gunners defender appeared to injure his left hamstring and was withdrawn towards the end of the game as the hosts strolled to a 4-0 victory to book their spot in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta claimed after the match that he was a doubt for the league game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday.

However, it appears White feels very good and will be ready to play during the week after posting this two-word update a few minutes ago.

It would be a huge boost for Arsenal if the Englishman has avoided a serious knock.

The club lost Riccardo Calafiori to an injury during the warm-up and cannot afford to be without another defender heading into the derby next Sunday.

The Gunners travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to take on their city rivals after their trip to Wolves, and need White available for the match.

They were without Martin Odegaard today due to an injury he sustained last Thursday against Brentford.

Further tests will be carried out on the Arsenal captain, White and Calafiori. Arteta will be praying for some good news.

Max Dowman returned to first-team training on Friday for the first time since injuring his ankle back in December.

French centre-back William Saliba, who missed the Brentford game on Thursday due to illness, featured against Wigan today.

Kai Havertz and Mikel Merino will not play against Spurs.
