Arsenal star Kai Havertz forced off injured in Germany vs Netherlands clash

Germany suffered an injury blow in the first half of their 2026/27 UEFA Nations League opener against the Netherlands, with Kai Havertz forced off after just half an hour.

The Arsenal forward went down following a rash challenge from Netherlands and Crystal Palace midfielder Quinten Timber in the 22nd minute.

After receiving treatment, Havertz attempted to play on but went down again a few minutes later, clutching his hamstring. He was ultimately forced off around the 30-minute mark, with Younes Ebnoutalib coming on to make his debut in his place.

Germany and Arsenal will now hope the injury to the 27-year-old is not serious.

Jürgen Klopp’s side had already been forced to cope without Jamal Musiala, who was replaced by Nadiem Amiri in the starting lineup following a reported muscular injury.
