Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly is under consideration at Manchester United, having been offered to them by intermediaries, according to the Daily Mail.

It emerged last week that United were monitoring the Gunners academy graduate and could look to lure him away from the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Man United want a new left-back, and Lewis-Skelly has caught their eye after impressing under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal last term.

The 19-year-old is currently behind Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori in the pecking order.

Lewis Hall and Nico O’Reilly are also ahead of him in the England set-up, and the Arsenal star is unlikely to go to the World Cup in June.

Lewis-Skelly was a time-wasting 90th-minute substitute against Bayer Leverkusen two weeks ago and had only played for Arsenal in the 4-0 FA Cup win over Wigan Athletic in mid-February before then.

He has told Arteta of his frustrations and could be open to leaving for the Red Devils.

Lewis-Skelly played 39 times last term, starting 26 games, but has started only 12 of 27 appearances this season. The situation is unlikely to change.

He could get an opportunity to impress against Southampton in the quarter-final of the FA Cup on Saturday.

However, he is likely to return to the bench when Arsenal take on Sporting CP in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie next Tuesday.

He still has plenty of years ahead of him and was only a regular starter last term due to injuries.

Lewis-Skelly will have to decide whether to remain at Arsenal as a squad player or move to Man United or elsewhere to fight for a place in the starting XI.
