Saka Faces Injury Setback Ahead of Liverpool Clash

Bukayo Saka will miss Arsenal’s crucial trip to Liverpool on Sunday after sustaining a hamstring injury in the emphatic 5-0 win over Leeds United. The forward limped off during the first half, and early estimates suggest he could be sidelined for up to four weeks, also ruling him out of England’s World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia next month.

Odegaard Doubt Adds to Arsenal Concerns

There are further worries for Arsenal with captain Martin Odegaard doubtful for the Anfield fixture after suffering a shoulder injury in the same game. “Odegaard looked in pain as he was replaced in the first half of the 5-0 win and the former Real Madrid attacking midfielder is understood to have left Emirates Stadium with his shoulder in a sling.” Club insiders remain optimistic that neither Saka nor Odegaard will become long-term casualties.

Depth in Attack to Ease Pressure

Saka’s absence revives memories of last season, when a similar hamstring issue kept him out for three months. This time, Arsenal have greater depth, having recruited Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze in the summer. With Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman also available, Mikel Arteta has options to cover key positions.
