Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus is expected to be allowed to leave the Emirates Stadium club for around £5 million, according to the Independent.
The Gunners forward has struggled to break into the plans of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta since signing a five-year contract in a £45 million move from Manchester City in 2022.
Jesus earns £265,000 per week at the North London club, with only Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz earning more.
He has plenty of offers from the Brazilian league and getting him off their books will give Arsenal room with financial regulations.
Jesus was limited to 14 Premier League appearances this term having only returned to action last December following an ACL injury in January.
Injuries have largely prevented the 29-year-old from playing regularly and he missed more than three months of action due to a knee injury in his first season.
Hamstring, groin and knee injuries over the four seasons he has spent at the club have limited Jesus to 123 appearances, and the Gunners want to finally move on.
They are looking to sign one or two forwards this summer, with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers and Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi on their radar.
Jesus could make his last appearance for Arsenal in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.
He started in the last Premier League game of the season against Crystal Palace last Sunday and it is safe to say he has played for the last time in England.
The Brazilian is not the only forward likely to leave the Gunners this summer, with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard also likely to move on.
Arteta could also look to strengthen in the middle of the park after last summer’s signing Christian Norgaard struggled to break into his team.
