Mikel Arteta has given starts to former Brighton pair Ben White and Leandro Trossard in his starting 11 to face Bayer Leverkusen in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 clash at the Emirates Stadium.

Right-back White will make a first start for Arsenal since December 3rd 2025, when his side won 2-0 against Brentford, while Trossard was forced off during the FA Cup clash against Mansfield with a knock and was absent for the entirety of their clash with Everton.

The Gunners are tied 1-1 with Leverkusen, who became the first invincible side in Bundesliga history as they stormed to the title in the 2023/24 campaign, courtesy of an 89th minute penalty from Kai Havertz to cancel out Robert Andrich’s header.

Havertz is named on the bench, alongside teenage sensation Max Dowman is named on the bench after scoring late on to seal the victory against the Toffees, and may well feature once more with a cameo appearance.

How early that has been seen to depend on whether the game is won or not.

The game will be available on TNT Sports, with kick off at 20:00 (GMT) and a full report, reaction, and analysis on FromTheSpot.
