The Gunners beat Tottenham in the north London derby in their first match after the November international break, but were held to a 1-1 draw by ten-man Chelsea at the weekend.

Those results have extended Arsenal’s unbeaten run across all competitions to 17 matches and Mikel Arteta will be keen for his side to record an eighth straight home win.

Brentford’s only away win in the league so far this season came against West Ham in October but have lost the other five, conceding 12 goals in the process.

Arsenal vs Brentford team news

Mikel Arteta could be without William Saliba and Leandro Trossard after they both missed the draw with Chelsea.

The former picked up a knock in training before the trip to Stamford Bridge and Arteta has revealed that the pair have an outside chance of returning against Brentford.

With Gabriel still sidelined, Cristhian Mosquera is poised to partner Piero Hincapie in central defence, while Myles Lewis-Skelly could start at left-back with Riccardo Calafiori one yellow card away from a suspension.

Martin Odegaard is pushing to start after two substitute appearances since recovering from a knee problem and Noni Madueke is in contention to replace Gabriel Martinelli on the left-wing.

Igor Thiago, Brentford’s leading scorer his season, is a doubt after being substituted in second-half stoppage time during the 3-1 win over Burnley.

Reiss Nelson is ineligible to feature against his parent club.

Arsenal vs Brentford prediction

Three tough games in seven days ultimately took its toll on Arsenal against Chelsea as many players looked tired - especially in the second half.

The return of key attackers such as Viktor Gyokeres, Madueke and Odegaard should inject some freshness into the Gunners which we expect to be enough to sting the Bees.

Arsenal to win, 3-0.
