The Gunners are in fine form as they host their London rivals

Arsenal will look to consolidate their status as Premier League leaders with a win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Gunners are in solid form, currently sitting three points clear atop the table after edging past Fulham last weekend, and a comprehensive midweek defeat of Atletico Madrid will have the squad in high spirits ahead of a return to domestic action.

It was a formidable team performance, and one befitting of champions. Viktor Gyokeres ended his goal drought on the night, bagging a sorely-needed brace in the second half to cap the occasion.

Palace are in dire need of a positive result after their first major European fixture at Selhurst Park ended in a shock defeat at the hands of Cypriot side Larnaca on Thursday night.

Oliver Glasner bemoaned his side’s toothlessness after they mustered just one shot on target in the tie. He could be in for further frustration at the Emirates, though, given the Gunners boast the best defensive record in the League.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace is scheduled for a 2pm GMT kick-off on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

The match will take place at the Emirates Stadium in north London.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace team news

Arsenal are still somewhat short-handed, with Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus all still sidelined and Gabriel now emerging as a doubt.

Arteta is expected to name another strong lineup for this match before rotating for next week’s Carabao Cup meeting with Brighton.

Gabriel Martinelli is in fine form, having scored three in his last five appearances, and will expect to start again. So too will Viktor Gyokeres, who will hope for the goalscoring floodgates to open after ending his drought against Atletico.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, have Chadi Riad, Cheick Doucoure and Caleb Kporha ruled out through injury.

Glasner may be forced to shuffle the pack as he faces a tight turnaround between Thursday’s meeting with Larnaca and Sunday’s trip across the Thames. He will be grateful, though, to have come through that match with no new fitness concerns.

Adam Wharton and Daichi Kamada each played just 20 minutes on Thursday, and will likely both be in line for a start at the Emirates, while Eddie Nketiah completed a half-hour cameo.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace prediction

Mikel Arteta has the Gunners in formidable shape, and, after watching them dismantle Atletico in midweek, few pundits would put their money on a Palace upset.

Now Gyokeres has rediscovered his shooting boots, it is incredibly difficult to find a weakness in the side.

Make no mistake, Palace are a strong side, but they will have their work cut out for them at the Emirates.

Arsenal to win, 3-1.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

Crystal Palace have not won at the Emirates since April 2019, when Christian Benteke, Wilfried Zaha and James McArthur all scored in a 3-2 win.
