Arsenal return from the international break aiming to get their Premier League title challenge immediately back on track when they host Nottingham Forest in Saturday’s early kick-off.
Mikel Arteta’s side saw their perfect start to the season end with a narrow defeat at Liverpool last time out. They will be confident of returning to winning ways, but they must do so with a squad hit by a number of key injuries.
Mikel Arteta is contending with a significant injury crisis, particularly in defence and attack. He will be without key centre-back William Saliba, who is reportedly ruled out for several weeks with a sprained ankle. In his absence, Cristhian Mosquera is set to be handed his first start after an impressive performance when replacing Saliba at Anfield.
Ben White and Christian Nørgaard will be assessed while skipper Martin Ødegaard is available again after missing the last match due to a shoulder injury. Ødegaard returns in fine form after scoring for Norway during the international break.
The attack is also heavily depleted. Bukayo Saka remains unavailable with a hamstring injury, while Kai Havertz is recovering from a knee injury. Gabriel Jesus is still out. Noni Madueke, who scored his first goal for England during the international break, is set to continue on the right wing, while Eberechi Eze is expected to start.
Arsenal predicted XI: Raya; Timber, Mosquera, Gabriel, Calafiori; Odegaard, Zubimendi, Rice; Madueke, Gyokeres, Eze
The Premier League fixture will take place at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 13 September 2025, with kick-off at 12:30 pm BST.
The match will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event, with coverage starting at 12 pm BST.
