Premier League title contenders Arsenal host West Ham on Saturday, aiming to end an unwanted home record against their London rivals in what will be Mikel Arteta’s 300th match as manager.
The Gunners have lost on their last two league visits from the Hammers. Therefore, Arteta will be determined to mark his milestone with a victory.
Arsenal are currently the most in-form team in the division and have been formidable at the Emirates, winning their last three home league games without conceding a goal. A key to victory could be their prowess from set-pieces. A high percentage of Arsenal’s goals under Arteta have come from corners, a defensive weakness West Ham have struggled with this season.
Mikel Arteta has received positive news on the fitness of captain Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka, who are both set to start. Saka is in line to make his 200th Premier League appearance and will be looking to emulate Thierry Henry, the only Gunner to have scored on that milestone. There is a slight doubt over defender Gabriel, but he is expected to be passed fit to play. However, the hosts remain without long-term absentees Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, and Noni Madueke.
Arsenal predicted XI: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Odegaard, Zubimendi, Rice; Saka, Gyokeres, Eze
The Premier League fixture will be played at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 4 October 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 pm BST.
The match will not be broadcast live in the UK due to the 3:00 pm blackout.
