Arsenal welcome Wigan Athletic to the Emirates in the fourth round of the FA Cup today.
The Gunners continue their quest for an unprecedented quadruple against the League One strugglers in North London.
In a blow for Mikel Arteta, Kai Havertz has suffered a fresh injury setback and is set for another spell on the sidelines. Havertz joins Mikel Merino, who is facing five months out with a foot problem.
William Saliba sat out the midweek draw at Brentford through illness and remains a doubt, while Martin Odegaard sustained another knee knock. Max Dowman also remains in the treatment room.
James Carragher remains a doubt for the game after missing Wigan’s last two fixtures. The defender, son of Liverpool legend Jamie, is struggling to face Arsenal. Elsewhere, the game will definitely come too soon for Baba Adeeko and Luke Robinson, though both have returned to training after spells on the sidelines.
Arsenal will aim to bounce back from a midweek draw at Brentford, a result that has tightened up the title race in the Premier League. The Gunners have won just two of their last six in the league, a run that has allowed Manchester City to move within four points. In this competition, Arsenal thrashed Portsmouth 4-1 in round three.
Wigan are battling for survival in League One. The Latics are winless in eight league games and have lost each of their last four. That run has cost Ryan Lowe his job, with Glenn Whelan appointed as interim manager. Wigan are currently 22nd in the third tier, and a point from safety.
Arsenal: Kepa; White, Mosquera, Calafiori, Lewis-Skelly; Norgaard, Rice, Eze; Madueke, Jesus, Martinelli
Wigan: Tickle; Fox, Aimson, Kerr; Hunt, Weir, Smith, Murray; Bettoni, Wright; Taylor
The game is being broadcast on TNT Sports 1 and discovery+ for UK viewers.
