The Athletic reports that Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli is under consideration at Bayern Munich as they continue their search for the position.

Bayern have had a tough time in the transfer market this summer, while completing the free signings of Jonathan Tah and Tom Bischof, they have struggled to get any other deals over the line after being rejected by Florian Wirtz and Nico Williams, while a move for Nick Woltemade currently appears difficult to materialise.

The Rekordmeister want to boost their options on the left wing due to the departure of Leroy Sané, and Kingsley Coman being the only fit option in the position.

Arsenal’s Martinelli is one of the players that Bayern are considering. While it has previously been reported that his teammate Leandro Trossard is also under consideration.

Bayern have even tried to pursue Liverpool winger Luis Diaz, but have faced a rebuttal from the Premier League champions.

The aim of the Bavarians is said to be to build a team that can fight for the Champions League immediately.
