Simon Collings reports for Standard Sport that Arsenal winger Noni Madueke is undergoing scans after injuring his knee during Sunday’s draw against Manchester City.
Collings writes that Madueke is being assessed on Monday, and an update is expected on Tuesday at Mikel Arteta’s press conference pre-Port Vale.

Madueke could be seen testing his right knee at the end of the first half of Arsenal’s match against City, appearing to pick up the problem in the fifth of four added minutes of injury time.
That being said, the 23-year-old never went to ground, continuing to jog around the pitch for the next 45 minutes and ending the half by making a tackle.
AFCAMDEN reports on Twitter that speculation about an ACL injury is premature and wide of the mark. At this stage, Arsenal reportedly don’t believe it’s an ACL injury, with further tests to clarify the exact issue.

Madueke had made a strong start to his Arsenal career, so fans will be keeping fingers crossed that the scans come back to reveal no serious damage.
In the meantime, any absence for Madueke would likely mean an increased squad role for Max Dowman as an alternative to Bukayo Saka. With the League Cup game against Port Vale coming up on Wednesday, Dowman could even be in for his first start.
