The recalls follow a series of recent changes involving loanees, including Cecily Wellesley-Smith, whose spell at Leicester was cut short before she was sent back out on loan to Rosengard after concerns over a lack of playing time.
Arsenal have not yet issued a statement on the decisions involving Lia and Earl, though Forest confirmed that Lia’s was recalled by the Gunners.
Lia, a 19-year-old England youth winger and academy product, made 12 appearances for Forest during her loan.
The 19-year-old joined the club on loan at the start of the season and made five starts and three substitute appearances.
Her standout contribution came in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup away at AFC Portchester, where she scored once and provided an assist in a 5-0 win, earning the Baller of the Round award. The goal in that match proved to be her only one during her time at Ipswich.
The recalls bring both players back to Arsenal as the club continues to review loan placements and playing time opportunities for its young squad members.
