There's not much more terrifying for opposition defences right now than Arsenal lining up a corner kick.
The North Londoners have become Europe's set-piece specialists under Mikel Arteta and underlined that reputation again this weekend.
Arsenal restored their five-point advantage at the top of thePremier League with a 2-1 win over Chelsea at the Emirates, sealed in signature style with two goals from set pieces.
First, a deep corner-kick routine ended with William Saliba steering in the opener, after Gabriel Maghalaes had nodded Bukayo Saka's delivery back across goal.
Chelsea levelled via a set piece of their own, only for Arsenal to find a winner. Jurrien Timber touched home Declan Rice's corner kick to earn Arsenal an important three points - and equal aPremier League record.
Arsenal have scored 16 goals from corners in the Premier League this season, equalling the record for the most corner goals scored in a single campaign.
The Gunners have matched the achievement of Oldham Athletic, in the Premier League's inaugural 1992-93 campaign, and West Bromwich Albion, who also scored 16 goals from corners in 2016-17.
Arteta's league leadersstill have nine games to take the record outright.
