The Athletic report that Arsenal’s Kai Havertz has sustained a fresh injury that will keep him sidelined for the next four games, including the north London derby on February 22.

The 26-year-old picked up a muscular injury and will miss games against Brentford, Tottenham, Wigan and Wolves, but his World Cup place shouldn’t be in danger.

Per the Athletic, the German’s absence isn’t expected to be long-term but his nomination for Germany’s friendlies against Switzerland and Ghana at the end of March could be questionable.

If Havertz can prove his fitness between his return and Julian Nagelsmann’s World Cup squad announcement, it’s quite possible that the Arsenal man will be on the plane to FIFA World Cup 2026, where Germany will face Curaçao, Ivory Coast and Ecuador.

Arsenal’s No. 29 has played just three Premier League games this season after a knee injury picked up on the opening day of the season sidelined him for around five months.
