Everton are weighing up a potential move for Ben White, with the Arsenal defender reportedly open to a deal before the January transfer window closes.

Arsenal are understood to be reluctant to allow a senior figure to leave midway through the campaign, despite White’s reduced involvement this season. The 26-year-old has made 12 Premier League appearances but started only four of those matches.

White remains under contract at the Emirates until the summer of 2028, with the option of an additional year. He joined Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2021 and has since made 172 appearances across all competitions.

A regular under Mikel Arteta during his first three seasons at the club, White’s role has diminished following the arrival of Jurrien Timber and a series of injury setbacks.

A hamstring issue suffered against Wolverhampton Wanderers in December further disrupted his campaign, with White managing just seven minutes of action across three matches since returning.

With game time limited, a loan move for the second half of the season is a possibility, and Everton are monitoring the situation closely should White become available.
