Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says the club are managing the “personal situations” of Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli as uncertainty continues over their futures.
Jesus has been linked with a possible departure from the Emirates, while Martinelli has also attracted interest ahead of the transfer deadline with Al Hilal keen on signing him.
Arteta was asked about Jesus and suggested the situation is partly influenced by the numbers in his squad.
“Well, it’s something to do with the numbers that we have in the squad at the moment and the way we’re managing that kind of situation individually with all the players that have some personal situations,” Arteta said.

The Arsenal boss was then asked about Martinelli, insisting the club have great affection for the Brazil international.
“Again, that’s another personal situation that we are dealing with,” Arteta said.
“I think everybody knows and recognises how much we love Gabi.
“And, yeah, whatever the outcome is, it will be because everybody agrees to that.”
