Arteta expects Arsenal to try to dominate their game against Brighton

Arsenal have enjoyed a fine start to the season and have largely dominated their matches across all competitions. Mikel Arteta now expects his players to produce another commanding performance when they face Brighton.

The Seagulls are among the most difficult teams to face and have been involved in several high scoring games since the beginning of the campaign. They will therefore provide Arsenal with another demanding test.

The previous meeting between the two clubs ended with a 1-0 victory for Arsenal, but Brighton complained about the Gunners wasting time and not wanting to play the ball as much as they should. The upcoming fixture gives Brighton another opportunity to challenge Arsenal.

Arteta Wants More Of The Same

Arsenal will be looking to continue their winning run in all competitions, while Brighton will be determined to make life difficult for the Gunners. The match should provide another test of Arsenal’s ability to control difficult opponents.

Arteta expects his players to maintain the approach they have shown throughout the season. He wants Arsenal to remain dominant regardless of where they play, while continuing to create problems for their opponents.

The Arsenal manager knows Brighton will present a significant challenge, meaning his players will need to produce another disciplined performance. He believes they must earn the right to win rather than expect the result simply because of their previous form.

Arsenal Ready For Brighton Challenge

Arteta also pointed to Arsenal’s recent victories and explained that the team intends to approach Brighton in the same manner. The Gunners have already shown consistency, and they will now attempt to extend that run.

Speaking to Arsenal Media, Arteta said:

“Playing with a dominance, it doesn’t really matter if we play at home or away, we want to be the same team and we want to cause the same kind of problems to the opposition. We have managed to win the three games, and we’ve got the last one against a really tough opponent, as I said, against Brighton tomorrow, and we’ll try to do the same.

“We’ve got a really tough opponent tomorrow, so we’re going to have to really earn the right to win the game, but certainly that will be the mindset of the players and the team.”

Arsenal will therefore enter the fixture aiming to maintain their strong start and continue playing with the dominance Arteta has demanded. Brighton, meanwhile, will look to disrupt that rhythm and provide the Gunners with another difficult challenge.
