Gabriel Martinelli is set to miss Arsenal’s game against Burnley this weekend, says boss Mikel Arteta.
The winger picked up an injury in the win over Crystal Palace and will not be available for Saturday’s clash.
Meanwhile, Arteta says he will wait to see whether William Saliba can return to action.
”Martinelli is still out,” Arteta said.
”Saliba, we have to wait and see. We have another training session this afternoon and the rest are still getting closer and going in the right direction but are not available yet.”
On how long Martinelli could be out, Arteta responded: “We don’t know but this game is going to come too early for him.”
Meanwhile, Arteta says he hopes to have Noni Madueke, Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz back from their longer term injuries soon, possibly in time for the north London derby against Tottenham on 23 November.
”I would say weeks, some of them pretty soon hopefully if they keep evolving the way they are doing but it’s difficult to put a game (on it).
”We have the international break which is a two-week break there and after that we will have some back. I don’t know if it’s going to be all of them or some of them but they will be quite close by then.”
