Arthur is a doubt for Santos’ Campeonato Brasileiro meeting with Flamengo after feeling discomfort in his right thigh and going off against São Paulo.

According to Globo.com, the midfielder, Santos’ number six, felt the problem early in the second half at Morumbis on Friday in a rescheduled fixture from the 21st round.

Four minutes into the half he attempted a sprint and reached for his right thigh. He told referee Matheus Delgado Candançan he was unsure whether it was cramp or something more serious. After one more minute he signalled to the bench and was replaced by Gabriel Menino in the seventh minute.

Santos host Flamengo at Vila Belmiro on Thursday at 19:30 Brasília time in the 29th round.

Arthur joined Santos at the end of August after terminating his Juventus contract, signing through to the end of the season. He has made six appearances with one assist, and the São Paulo game was only his second start.
