Manchester United will be looking to add a new goalkeeper to their squad next season, and all signs point towards Radek Vitek.
The Red Devils addressed this department last summer by signing Senne Lammens, who proved to be an immense upgrade on Andre Onana.

The Cameroonian was loaned out to Trabzonspor in September. While it remains to be seen if he’ll have a future at the Turkish beyond the current campaign, Man Utd have no desire to reincorporate him in their plans.
Moreover, Altay Bayindir could finally leave Carrington in search of additional playing time, while Tom Heaton could finally call it a day at the end of the season.
Therefore, Manchester World journalist Rich Fay insists that United must add at least one new goalkeeper to their first team.
In his piece, Fay explains why Vitek is the ‘perfect’ solution for Man Utd’s dilemma, as the club is seeking a custodian capable of pushing Lammens for a starting shirt, but at the same time, willing to accept a secondary role.
The 22-year-old is a Czech goalkeeper who began his career at Olomouc before being poached by MUFC in 2020. This season, Vitek joined Bristol City on loan, and has already managed to usurp the club’s original first choice, Max O’Leary, for a starting berth.

He has thus been described as Man Utd’s most impressive loaned-out player this season, outperforming the likes of Harry Amass, Toby Collyer, and Enzo Kana-Biyik.
While he has only registered nine clean sheets in his 26 appearances, Fay insists that the Czech’s stats don’t do him enough justice, as he’s been pulling off ‘outrageous’ saves while showing his ‘immense’ shot-stopping ability.
Vitek has yet to play in the English top flight, but the Man Utd insider argues that his pedigree is as impressive as Lammens’ before he joined Man Utd last summer.
The Belgian’s experience was limited to his country’s first division, while the Czech had played in the Austrian Bundesliga last term, and has now cemented himself as one of the best custodians in the English Championship.
Vitek is tied to the Red Devils with a contract valid until the summer of 2028, while Transfermarkt estimates his value at €3.5 million.
