As Kane backup: This striker is probably still an issue at FC Bayern

Is Fisnik Asllani not off the table at FC Bayern after all? While it was recently reported that the Hoffenheim man was no longer an issue at Säbener Straße, a different picture is now emerging

According to Sport BILD, the 23-year-old is still in Munich’s sights, with the club continuing to keep a close eye on the attacker’s development. Asllani has a release clause of less than 30 million euros at TSG Hoffenheim – a financially manageable amount for an attacking player with development potential

The role would be clearly defined: behind Harry Kane, the centre-forward position at FC Bayern is occupied on a long-term basis. Asllani would not come as an immediate starter, but as an addition with prospects. A transfer would therefore be strategic in nature – a player who could develop and take on more responsibility in the future

In the past, there had been signals to the contrary, with kicker reporting that Asllani was not considered an ideal fit internally – partly due to his lack of pace. Under Vincent Kompany, dynamism plays a central role in attacking play, which was seen as a possible knock-out criterion

Asllani could be a good deal for FC Bayern

Nevertheless, Asllani’s chapter at FC Bayern does not appear to be closed. His technique, goal-scoring instinct and intelligence are still valued. Eight goals and seven assists in the current season underline his qualities

The decisive factor is likely to be how the squad structure develops in the summer. Should FC Bayern want to add to the squad without massively burdening the salary structure, Asllani could fit this profile. The release clause also provides planning security

One thing is clear: with Kane as the undisputed number one, the record champions are not looking for expensive competition, but rather a reliable alternative with development potential. In this context, Asllani obviously remains an option.
