AS Monaco are looking to add depth to their defence ahead of their impending UEFA Champions League campaign. PSV Eindhoven’s Jordan Teze (24) is the priority target. However, having already seen a bid rejected for the versatile Dutchman, a final offer has now been submitted, as per a report from Fabrizio Romano.
The 24-year-old, capable of playing right-back and centre-back, is seen as a strong candidate to slot into Adi Hütter’s expected 3-4-2-1 formation this season. An opening offer of €10m offer was rejected by the Eredivisie side, however. A new offer, which according to Romano is worth €12m has now been submitted. The Italian journalist understands that this is the Principality club’s final proposal for Teze.
Les Monégasques are already working on contingency plans, should their bid be rejected by PSG Eindhoven, with alternatives being drawn up. Monaco have already strengthened their defence this summer, firstly by making Thilo Kehrer’s move permanent and then by signing Christian Mawissa earlier this week.
