AS Nancy-Lorraine have announced a sporting partnership with AZ Alkmaar, centred on recruitment, scouting and data.
The club said in a statement that AZ will support Nancy’s sporting department without taking any equity, and that the two clubs’ teams will collaborate on player identification and analysis.
The agreement was put in place during the 2025-26 season and was formalised in the club’s end-of-season review on Monday.
AZ, regarded across Europe for recruitment and player development, will share methods for spotting high-potential, undervalued talent to sharpen decision-making inside Nancy’s set-up.
Recent AZ success stories include Teun Koopmeiners, Tijjani Reijnders, Milos Kerkez and Vangelis Pavlidis.
AZ director general Merijn Zeeman views the alliance as widening both clubs’ sporting and commercial networks, while Nancy sporting director Michaël Chrétien welcomed the chance to learn from one of Europe’s most innovative football organisations.
