According to Spanish media, Real Madrid is seriously considering bringing back a former defender to bolster its backline in the upcoming summer transfer window.
As reported by the newspaper AS, coach Xabi Alonso is closely monitoring the progress of Jacopo Ramon at Como 1907 this season and is said to be very pleased with his recent performances.
The same source indicates that the Madrid board believes the young player could become a key part of the defensive renewal project, especially with the likely departures of first-team regulars like Antonio Rüdiger and David Alaba at the end of the season.
Since arriving in Italy, the La Fábrica academy graduate has quickly showcased his talent, featuring in 10 matches across all competitions. He has established himself as one of the pillars of the team managed by Spaniard Cesc Fàbregas, ranking just behind German Marc-Oliver Kempf in minutes played among defenders.
It is worth noting that Real Madrid retained a buy-back clause for Jacopo Ramon, reportedly set at just 8 million euros, making his potential return to the club relatively straightforward from a financial perspective.
