AS Roma target Monaco’s Thilo Kehrer | OneFootball

Thilo Kehrer (29) is the subject of interest from AS Roma, as per a report from Gianluca Di Marzio. The German defender has seemingly fallen down the pecking order at the Stade Louis II.

Kehrer was a key player under Adi Hutter and then continued to feature prominently under Sébastien Pocognoli last season. However, under new manager Filipe Luís, he may not play a starring role. Eric Dier has returned to the fore, despite looking like leaving earlier in the summer. The Englishman even wore the armband following Denis Zakaria’s substitution in Monaco’s UEFA Europa Conference League qualifier against Górnik Zabrze on Thursday evening. Sadibou Sané, meanwhile, has joined from FC Metz and looks like playing a key role.

Di Marzio now understands that AS Roma are considering taking Kehrer on loan. The former Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham United defender has also been linked with a return to Germany.
