However, they will take confidence from their latest result — a convincing 3–0 win at home against Pisa, where Donyell Malen scored a hat-trick. Roma are dealing with a few injury crises, leaving manager Gian Piero Gasperini short of options.

Lorenzo Pellegrini is ruled out for several weeks due to a hamstring injury, while Manu Kone is also unavailable.

In attack, Paulo Dybala is sidelined after knee surgery, and Artem Dovbyk is expected to miss the rest of the season with a muscle injury. Evan Ferguson and Wesley are also out.
