MOCA, Dominican Republic — The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers continued with Dominican Republic and Suriname playing to a 2-2 draw in Group D on Tuesday at Estadio Moca 85 in Moca, Dominican Republic.
Suriname jumped out to an early lead in the 3’, as Isabelle Hoekstra used nifty footwork in the box to evade defenders and score the opening goal.
Two minutes later, Hoekstra sent in a cross and connected with Chanté Dompig to extend Suriname’s lead.
The hosts were able to cut into the deficit in the 16’, when Mía Asenjo snuck behind the Suriname back line and poked one past the keeper.
Asenjo recorded her brace as she netted the equalizer in the 85’, by muscling off a defender and getting into great position in the area for the shot.
The result places Suriname at the top of the group with four points. Haiti follows with three points, with the Dominican Republic in third place on one point.
The Dominican Republic will take on Belize at the end of February. Suriname will retake the field against Haiti during the March fixtures.
