According to L’Equipe in France, Paris Saint-Germain striker Marco Asensio has rejected a €15m move to Fenerbahce, so Milan are in talks to swoop instead.

The 29-year-old Spain international spent the last six months on loan at Aston Villa and his contract with PSG only runs to June 2026.

He is therefore stalling and waiting to see what other options emerge, including Milan and Villarreal.

Of the two, Asensio is leaning more towards the Rossoneri, who are already said to be in negotiations with his entourage to work out personal terms.

Unlike Villarreal, they would also be able to sign the striker without too many financial strains.

A product of the Real Mallorca youth academy, he also spent time at Real Madrid and Espanyol before joining Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent in the summer of 2023.

Last season, Asensio made 37 competitive appearances, contributing 10 goals and five assists between PSG and Aston Villa.
