Barcelona have confirmed the sale of Asisat Oshoala to National Women’s Soccer League side Bay FC.
The move brings an end to a glorious five-year spell for the Nigerian striker in Catalonia, in which time she has scored 117 goals in 162 games as well as winning a whole host of trophies, including two Women’s Champions League titles.
The 29-year-old also top scored the Primera División in the 2020/21 season, and is a major loss to Jonatan Giráldez’s team.
Her move to the States is a major coup for Bay FC, who are set to make their NWSL bow this season as the latest expansion team.
