Marseille have slapped a price tag on the head of Everton target Amine Gouiri, but no firm offers have arrived for the striker yet.

Gouiri joined Marseille during the winter transfer window of 2025 from fellow Ligue 1 side Rennes for €19m, signing a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Phoceans.

Since his arrival, the Algerian striker has established himself as a reliable attacking player for the Stade Velodrome side.

In the last Ligue 1 season, the 26-year-old scored eight goals and provided three assists in 22 appearances for Marseille, while a shoulder injury sidelined him for a significant period.

Everton are in the market for another striker, amid continuing concerns over the goal output of Thierno Barry and Beto, and they have been widely linked with Gouiri.

The race for the Algeria international is expected to heat up and, according to French daily La Provence (via Made In Foot), Marseille have set an asking price of €25m for Gouiri.

Marseille are under real pressure to sell as UEFA and the French football financial watchdog look closely at their books.

Gouiri is happy at Marseille and the club’s coaching staff would like him to stay, but matters may be taken out of their hands.

At present though, Marseille have not received any firm offers for the striker.

Even if Everton do move for the Algeria striker, they could have a battle on their hands as they face competition from La Liga side Sevilla, who want to sign the attacker on loan.

A loan deal makes little sense for Marseille, given their need for cash, and that could boost Everton.

Another attacker Everton are linked with is Jean-Matteo Bahoya, but they face competition from fellow Premier League suitors for the Eintracht Frankfurt star.

Meanwhile, Fulham are expected to make a move for the Toffees target Raoul Bellanova after their chief scout watched the Atalanta wing-back in action in the Conference League playoff round on Thursday evening.

With David Moyes keen for further additions, Everton face a busy end to the summer transfer window.
