Asllani left out of Hoffenheim camp, ‘to join’ Leipzig | OneFootball

Fisnik Asllani, 23, is closing in on a move to RB Leipzig after choosing the club, with personal terms close to agreement, Bild reports.

On Sunday he did not travel with the Hoffenheim squad to their camp in Seefeld, Austria. He has also missed recent pre-season matches.

The remaining work is between the clubs, with Hoffenheim expected to receive close to €30 million via the striker’s release clause.

Leipzig have worked on the deal for weeks while reshaping their attack. They have moved closer to signing Mohamed Amoura from Wolfsburg, and potential exits, including Yan Diomande’s expected switch to Real Madrid, could open squad space.

Asllani enjoyed a breakout season for Hoffenheim last term, recording 11 goals and 10 assists in 35 competitive appearances. His form drew interest from Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.
