He had been sidelined since suffering a tendon injury in his left knee during Leipzig’s 2-0 win over Werder Bremen on November 23.

With his return, he is expected to be available for Leipzig’s first match of 2026 against St. Pauli on January 10.

Team-mates Antonio Nusa and Ezechiel Banzuzi are still training individually but are also expected to be fit for the St. Pauli fixture.
