ASSE will face Lausanne at Divonne-les-Bains behind closed doors in their penultimate pre-season friendly.

According to Le Progres, both clubs sought another venue but ultimately accepted this arrangement, a routine hiccup in an otherwise well-drilled summer.

Planning was complicated when the play-off second leg was moved to 29 May because Nice were in the Coupe de France final.

That delay prolonged the wait to learn whether they would play in Ligue 1 or Ligue 2, and stalled a restart schedule because the leagues begin on 8 and 21 August.

Long-serving team manager Frédéric Emile had already prepared parallel programmes from January, ready to activate depending on the scenario.
