AS Saint-Étienne’s visit to Dijon will be played on Monday 31 August at 20:45, their first Monday night outing in more than two years.
After occupying the top-billed slot across the first three matchdays, they now switch to the secondary pick. For one year, their supporters were largely spared travel-unfriendly midweek kick-offs, aside from two Ligue 2 rounds staged in midweek.
The school holidays may have led beIN Sports to end that respite, or it could instead reflect Nantes’ relegation allowing the broadcaster to alternate its Saturday night slot.
On matchday four, Nantes visit Guingamp on Saturday 29 August at 20:00 for a Breton derby. As a result, Ian Cathro’s men take the Monday slot at 20:45 for their trip to Dijon.
Both fixtures will be shown on beIN Sports 1.
