ASSE’s Magic Fans and Green Angels are set to avoid dissolution after the national consultative commission on preventing violence at sports events opposed the move, according to Le Progres.
The interior minister, Laurent Nunez, informed AS Saint-Etienne that he would not go against the commission’s advice. He met a club executive last Wednesday to deliver that message.

Supporters have rallied behind the club’s emblematic ultra groups since a renewed threat of dissolution emerged in early April.
Nunez is expected to confirm this stance soon before the National Assembly.
The groups, the club and politicians will keep working to avoid a third procedure.
