After the reduction in the maximum number of foreigners allowed at Liga MX clubs, América are now looking to free spaces to bring in reinforcements for the 2021 Apertura tournament.
Nicolás Benedetti is obviously one of the most expendable players at the club since he’s been consistently battling injuries and has been involved in a recent scandal.
According to various Mexican sources, Benedetti has already been offered to Santos Laguna and Xolos, though they would only take the player on loan.
It’s believed that neither club have responded.
It’s also thought that Benedetti could return to his home nation of Colombia, where he was a standout performer with Deportivo Cali.
