The first block of fixtures in this international break has now been completed, with two Rossoneri players making their mark.

On Thursday evening, Alexis Saelemaekers featured and impressed in Liechtenstein v Belgium. At the Rheinpark Stadion in Vaduz, the Rode Duivels cruised to a commanding 6-0 victory in World Cup qualifying, a result that lifts them to third in the group on seven points as they chase leaders Wales. Saelemaekers entered the fray around the hour mark and set up Fofana in stoppage time. It was a bright cameo from the Rossoneri man, who posted an 82% pass completion rate, made three touches in the opposition box and completed one successful dribble, further underlining his strong form. Koni De Winter, meanwhile, remained on the bench.

During the night, Pervis Estupiñán played 85 minutes in Paraguay v Ecuador. At the Estadio Defensores del Chaco in Asunción, also in World Cup qualifying, Estupiñán started at left-back in Sebastián Beccacece's 4-4-2 setup. It was a hard-fought, high-intensity contest that ultimately ended goalless. The Ecuadorians now sit on 26 points after 17 matches, in fourth place just behind Brazil and Uruguay, and ahead of Colombia and Paraguay.
