Aston Villa have announced that Morgan Rogers has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The midfielder has put pen to paper on a new deal that will run until 2031, ending speculation surrounding his future. Rogers scored eight goals and provided 10 assists in the Premier League last season, form which earned the 23-year-old the PFA Young Player of the Year award.
His displays have also seen Rogers break into the England set-up, with clubs including Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur understood to have considered approaches. Villa have now tied the Halesowen-born midfielder down to an improved new contract.
“Aston Villa is delighted to announce that Morgan Rogers has signed a new contract with the club,” the club statement read.
“The England international has agreed a deal that will keep him at Villa until 2031.
“Rogers signed for the club in February 2024 from Middlesbrough and has become a key member of Unai Emery’s side, earning a debut for the Three Lions in November 2024.
“His stellar performances last term saw his peers vote him PFA Young Player of the Season.”
