Aston Villa announce Walsall friendly and Borussia Monchengladbach trip

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Aston Villa have announced two pre-season fixtures, visiting Walsall then travelling to Germany to face Borussia Monchengladbach.

Walsall will host their Premier League neighbours at Bescot on Tuesday, July 21, kick-off 7:30pm. Unai Emery will take his Europa League winning side to WS1.

Afterwards, Villa will travel to Hong Kong to face Bayern Munich in the Audi Football Summit on August 7.

They will also face Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany on Saturday, August 15, with a 3:30pm local time start.

The Saddlers are set to announce further pre-season dates in due course.

Villa and Walsall have met in pre-season in each of the past five years, with Harrison Burke scoring the only goal for the Saddlers in a 1-0 win last year.
