In a recent report, Ok Fichajes stated that Aston Villa are facing tough competition for Atletico Madrid ace Nahuel Molina. It has been claimed that the Villans will have to rival Arsenal and Manchester City in the race to land the Argentine sensation next year.
The 25-year-old had a decent campaign at the Wanda Metropolitano as he produced a string of solid displays for Atletico on the right flank. Molina scored on four occasions and picked up four assists in 43 appearances for the Madrid outfit last season across various competitions.
The Embalse-born defender managed to prove his worth at both ends of the field and did well to average 2.1 tackles, 0.5 interceptions, 1.4 clearances, 0.6 shots, 1.2 key passes and 0.6 dribbles per game in La Liga. He even distributed possession accurately after making 79.4% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via whoscored).
Molina is under contract at Atletico Madrid until the summer of 2027. Therefore, the Villans will have to make a convincing offer if they want to win the race for his services next year.

Molina is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger quickly to earn the ball back for his side inside his half. He usually clears the danger when required and can even engineer some decent chances for his teammates up top.
The Argentina international is a decent dribbler with the ball as well. He can even chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the final third. However, standing at 1.75m, he can be a weak presence in the air.
The South American defensive ace will undeniably enhance the quality of Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery‘s first XI. He might even help the Villans challenge for a European spot in the Premier League next season.
With all things considered, Molina will be well worth the fight, so Emery should try everything in his power to win the race to land the Atletico Madrid full-back when the transfer window commences at the start of next year.
