Aston Villa ‘close in’ on £30million deal for Taylor Harwood-Bellis | OneFootball

Aston Villa have reached an agreement in principle on a £30million deal for Southampton centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis, 24, following Ezri Konsa’s departure to Arsenal.

Sky Sports reports that Villa are closing in on the one-cap England defender.

Villa had two bids rejected. He is expected to cost £25million guaranteed plus £5million in bonuses.

There are still details to finalise, and Harwood-Bellis is likely to complete his move back to the Premier League with Villa.

He has not featured for Southampton in their last three games amid speculation over his future.

Harwood-Bellis joined the Saints on loan in 2023, helped secure promotion via the Championship play-offs, then signed permanently. He has made 132 appearances, scoring 12 goals.
