Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Brazilian wonderkid Alysson from Grêmio.

The 19-year-old is a product of his club's academy, earning 41 senior appearances under his belt and as well as one goal and two assists.

He now makes the move to England in a £10.5m deal that consists of a £8.7m fee up front and a further £1.8m in performance-related add-ons.

The Brazilian outfit, who secured a ninth placed finish in the league last term, have also secured a 10% sell-on clause for the teenager.

Alysson, predominantly a right winger, is left-footed and becomes Grêmio's fifth most expensive sale of all time.

The youngster joins a Villa attack already consisting of Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, Jadon Sancho, Evann Guessand, and Donyell Malen, while loanee Harvey Elliott faces an uncertain future at the Midlands club.

Unai Emery's side have produced a remarkable challenge for the title this season as they look to push both Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, and the arrival of Alysson could go a long way in ensuring they maintain form and secure a place in next season's Champions League.
